Each year Allabroad Maritime Academy in Gibraltar provide training courses to those who really need it the most to help get their career at sea started, and 2024 is no different with 10 scholarships available. Applications are now open.

Allabroad Maritime Training can help you get started in the Maritime Industry

We provide a limited number of internally funded maritime course scholarships specifically for those who are trying to get started in the local Gibraltar maritime industry, who also have not been able to get access to any other funding.

Please note Allabroad do NOT receive any funding externally from any Government organisation, Charity, Trust Fund, or University, all our scholarship packages are funded internally by Allabroad Maritime Academy in Gibraltar who have been delivering Maritime courses in Gibraltar since 1999.

We need to ensure that Allabroad Maritime Scholarships are only granted to those who really do need them, who also do not have any other funding options.

Allabroad Scholarships are currently available for the Gib-ST Package listed, and do not require any previous entry qualifications. Please only apply via the application form below.

Allabroad Maritime Academy GibST (Gibraltar Seafarer Training Package)

All training is delivered in Gibraltar by us - Allabroad Maritime Training, as an accredited Maritime training provider we can deliver all your training in-house, so we do not need to 'outsource' your training to overseas providers. The Gib-ST course is 10 days in total and can be delivered on a 'day release' basis if you have other commitments.

This Maritime Scholarship Package provides internationally recognised certification that can help you well on your way to a career at sea. The package includes:

MCA STCW Basic Safety Training.
STCW Personal Survival Techniques (A-VI/1-1)
STCW Fire Fighting and Fire Prevention (A-VI/1-2)
STCW Elementary First Aid (A-VI/1-3)
STCW Personal Safety and Social Responsibility (A-VI/1-4)
STCW Proficiency in Security Awareness (A-VI/6-1)
RYA VHF Radio inc GMDSS Course
RYA Radar Operators Course
RYA Diesel Engine Maintenance Course
RYA Powerboat Level 2 Course

Please note that scholarships are internally funded and as such limited to 10 places per year. All the training is delivered in Gibraltar by a Gibraltar business: Allabroad Maritime Academy based in Ocean Village Gibraltar since 1999. We do not outsource to other UK providers.

Allabroad was founded in 1999 in Gibraltar and is accredited by numerous maritime bodies, including the UK Royal Yachting Association. Allabroad are approved to deliver certified RYA Courses from the Sail Cruising, Power, and shore-based training schemes.

Allabroad Maritime Academy (Gibraltar) holds the prestigious accreditation of:

UK Maritime & Coastguard Agency Accredited Course Provider.

As a subsidiary executive agency of the UK Department for Transport, the MCA is responsible for the syllabus and training standards for ships' officers and crew to International STCW Standards.

Allabroad Maritime Academy (Gibraltar) is a member of the British Marine Federation, and as such is signed up to an extensive Code of Practice offering customers additional confidence that the service provided will be the best.
